Autobiography
I was born on September 11 of 1960. My father had just finished his military service, and my mother had just finished school. Some time late my father started working as a loader on a railway station, my mother become a typesetter for a newsparer. The family was very poor, we hadn’t enough money to buy necessary food. A few years later the father was recruited into the professional army. We settled at a little military town where I entered an elementary school and ten years later I finished a secondary school. Since the eight form I indulged in photography thanks to my friend’s father who had the necessary photo equipment. For the last two years I took good lessons of driving (lorry driving) and vehicle repair and service.
In 1977 I entered the Saratov Polytechnical Institute (Technological faculty). From the second course I had an independent plan of learning: I didn’t attend common lectures and I had individual examination tasks according to the dean’s permission. So I turned out to be in a profitable position because I had four-five months of additional vacations every year. I was occupied in reading very much, I have read the complete works of A. Doyle, J. Verne, J. London, A. Kuprin, V. Majakovsky, S. Esenin as well as the selected works of the other authors. I found that my surname Kortchaguine is met in the books of the russian classics. For example: the book “How the steel chilled” by N. Ostrovsky where the revolutionist Pavel Kortchaguine is a chief character, the book “Revival” by L. Tolstoy with the countess Kortchaguine (a bride of the chief character).
I was lazy by nature and hadn’t ambitions so I wasn’t an excellent student. In spite of that my marks were high enough that I received recommendation to finish my post graduate diploma at the prestigious Moscow Electrochemical Institute of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR. But I decided stay in Saratov to finish my studies and got married. (A photo of my bride was demonstrated as the best one on the institute’s photo concors).
I studied the theory of probability, mathematical statistics and the theory of experiment’s planing by an individual way. I made mathematical processing of industrial tests’ results gathered during my practice in 1981 and sent those materials two the magazine “Electrochemical Industry” .The materials were published as the article "Application of four-field system of the K. Pirson criterion for the control of accumulators quality" in N1 (1984). My next article "Determination of the distribution law of current chemical sources parameters by the harmony criterion of Myzes" was published in N5 of the same magazine (1984).The period between the creation and publication of the scientific work was very long but it was so typical for our country.
There wasn’t a word “unemployment” in the USSR so I got a post in the Saratov Scientific-Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering where I began working and continued for ten years (1982-1992).
In 1983 I become the winner of the institute’s photo concors. Photography is still my hobby today.
I was busy with the mathematical modelling of materials’ magnetronic spraying and I was marked as the best one in the competition of the Scientific–technical youth creation.
I had got the following marks:
“The best young engineer”,
“The best engineer-researcher”,
“The best engineer-technologist of the first category”.
In 1987 I got married for the second time; my favorite daughter Alexandra was born in December of 1987.
In 1990 I was rewarded with the Diploma of the All-Russian Radiotechnical Society for elaboration and introduction of the equipment and the technologies for the coating of different film.
I published the articles systematically in the scientific magazines and I got author’s certificates of the inventions. I made the reports for many All-Union and international scientific conferences.
In 1991 I completed of the thesis “Research and elaboration of magnesium film electrode for ammoniac current source” in the Leningrad technological institute. The work was devoted to the way of magnesium electrode making with adhesion till 311 kN/mm on steel base. Using electronic microscopy I researched the peculiarities of electrodes structure in different spraying conditions. I researched electrode's electrochemical activity and determined the correlation between this activity and structural characteristics that helped to show up the maximum effective electrode structure giving the maximum currentless potential and the minimum polarizability with anodic dissolution.
In 1992 the Higher Certifying Commission of the Ministers Council of the USSR conferred on me the degree of technical science candidate.
During 1992-1994 I worked as a director of small enterprises(look CV), studied computer’ operations reading special literature.
Since 1994 I was a programmer making specific codes for the accountancy.
My wife and I are russian. We are citizens of Russia. We are not mentally diseased. We don’t smoke, don’t abuse alcohol. Not do we use narcotics. We have no criminal records and we are not the members of any political party.
